Now offering custom theme packages around hosted Apostrophe!

In the past, we regretted that we couldn't help out our friends that need a low cost, but custom website for their small business,  to display their portfolio, show off their band, or promote their project. With the release of hosted Apostrophe, this is finally an option! We are now offering custom made themes built to use with hosted Apostrophe.

These themes are priced on a sliding scale, based on the complexity of the design. You get all the functionality of Apostrophe without having to pay for a full website build. It saves time and money for everyone!

Here are some example packages we offer:

1. Get Your Website Up and Running Fast!

When you need to get a website put together fast, and you just don’t have the time to do it, we’re here to help! In half a day, we will have your website up and running, and you’ll know how to keep your content updated moving forward. This package includes defining the goal and focus of your website, creating a website using the Apostrophe content management system, laying out your content, training on how to maintain and update the content of your website, making small custom design edits to a predefined theme and launching under a custom domain name.

running time: half a day (3-4 hours) of consulting

Agenda:

• Discuss big picture goals for your website
• Sign up for an Apostrophe account, pick a theme, and get your website live
• Training in all features of Apostrophe (adding content, creating blogs, adding events, uploading photos, adding videos, etc)
• Help you add content to your pages and layout your pages
• Tips on how to effectively use the tools of your website. (Including a discussion of dynamic content like blog posts.)
• Pimp your theme! Customize your theme by taking advantage of the CSS
• (Cascading Style Sheet) editor. We will help you tweak the background
• colors, fonts, and image sizes.
• Sign up for a custom domain (yourcompany.com) and connect that to your
• Apostrophe hosted website
• Connect up your YouTube, Google Analytics, Disqus, AddThis, Slideshare, and Vimeo accounts.
• Strategy around dynamic content (blog, events, media)
• Structuring your content and laying out pages.
• Making small custom design tweaks (background colors, fonts, image sizes)
• acquiring a custom domain, pointing it to your new website
• Setting up Linked accounts (Media management strategy in general)

2. Considering Content and Creating a New Website

If you have been putting off making a new website because you don’t know where to start, this package is for you. We will spend a day going over the goals of your website, identifying content you already have and what you need to gather/create, and forming a strategy around the content. The second day we will make a new website using Apostrophe, train you how to use your website, and launch under a custom domain name.

running time: 1.5 days of consulting (12hrs)

• Discussion about the goals and focus of your website. It’s OK if you don’t have a specific goal, we will find one together.
• Auditing existing content, or help in gathering new content
• Determining content flow and structure
• Acquiring a custom domain

Day 2

• create a new website with Apostrophe
• strategy around dynamic content (blog, events, media)
• adding content and page structure
• making small custom design tweaks (colors, fonts, image sizes)
• pointing your custom domain to your new website

3. From Zero to New Professional Website

You need a new website, you want it to look completely unique, and you want to be able to easily maintain it. In this package you will get a professionally designed custom theme, consulting around content strategy, creating a website using Apostrophe, training on how to use your website, and launching under a custom domain name

6 to 8 weeks

Stage 1

• Discussion about the goals and focus of your website. It’s OK if you don’t have a specific goal, we will find one together.

• Meeting with our designer to talk about custom theme design
